We are always looking for people interested in joining our organization.

Who Can Join?

We invite any teacher or anyone interested in the issues and topics we focus our efforts on to join. Teachers (and others) need not be retired to join but must be Henry County residents or taught in Henry County.

Benefits of Joining

There are several benefits to becoming a member of our organization. Our members are close friends and we have a great time when we get together. Of course we also have a common interest, and we hope to further our cause.

Here are a few more reasons:
1. Promotes quality health care coverage through leadership role in the Health Care Advocates (HCA)
2. Represents Ohio's retired teachers at STRS committee and board meetings
3. Represents Ohio's retired teachers in Washington, D. C.
4. Monitors and tracks all legislation affecting retired teachers
5. Affordable Auto, Home, Life, Dental, Health Care Insurance plans
6. There is no other organization that works exclusively for Ohio's Retired Teachers

How Can You Join?

To join we need a completed application and membership dues for the first year. Please contact us for more information and a copy of the application if you are unable to print out the form on this website.

Dues

Annual Dues:
     $15 - HCRTA
         (make check payable to HCRTA)
     $30 - ORTA
         (make check payable to ORTA)

Associate Dues (for spouses of retired teachers or anyone who is interested in education)
    $15 Annual Dues to HCRTA
             or
    $50 Lifetime Dues to HCRTA
      (Make check payable to HCRTA)

Lifetime Membership:
     $50 - HCRTA
         (make check payable to HCRTA)
     $500 - ORTA
         (make check payable to ORTA)

ORTA will accept a credit card payment for their dues. Go to their website for more information. They will also accept quarterly payment of dues. However, they do not bill the individual!
