Being a volunteer is important to our group!

Henry County CASA

To whom it may concern,

Henry County CASA is currently recruiting for volunteers to make a commitment to our organization for the abused and neglected children in our court system. I would greatly appreciate if you would share the following information with your members. We are holding a short information session at our office on February 8th at 6pm. We are specifically in need of male volunteers for those children who are more comfortable with a man being their advocate.  I would like you to think about the possibility of becoming a CASA. Any questions that you might have would be welcomed at the number abo . If your organization has a newsletter, I would appreciate the opportunity to email you our wordage for an insertion in your next newsletter.  If that is a possibility, please email me at rblanton@midohio.twcbc.com. If you are not able to attend the meeting, I can also send out the information at your request. Our hope is to someday have a CASA volunteer for every child going through the court system!

Sincerely,

Rachel Blanton

Volunteer Coordinator

There were 2186.5 hours of volunteer service turned in at the last meeting. That gives us a total of 6819.5 hours of community service thus far. We are a little behind in working toward our goal of 11,000 hours of volunteer service for our organization. Have you noticed the number of HCRTA members that volunteer in our area churches and the number that are working on the dictionary project? Thanks for your help in providing a service that benefits many people. As I work on projects and talk with organizations, there are still many places that could use a few hours of volunteer help. When I look at my spreadsheet, there are many blank squares. I know there are some who give service to their community, but don't report their hours. Please contact Tom J. and get your hours listed. Be a part of our service to our community. We, as former educators, have a lot to offer so please be on the lookout for ways to help.

A reminder, the hours we collect are general volunteering hours and tutoring hours. Take advantage of one of those simple ways to add your hours to HCRTA's total accumulation.
